dust / to the dream /
flowers fall to the glass moon
and her fingertips
/ in the
/ ephialtes /
light and / cosmic touch;
you tried to /
ruin me / but I’m not
Atë or Ares.
Spume of the ocean
I will not drown /
you / in my threnody /
war feet / burst like the apple
in the trench / the dissection
of man and bone.
stars / truncated
to the strawberry / pregnant
moon; a death
in a dream and pomegranate
ribs onto stardust and star-death,
a ghost of Adam to Eve,
they are dust
/ the dissection
of man and bone /
seduction / to the / wind
and oak death /
we are the suckle
of the sea, the mouth
of dust,
in elegy.
