walk in all the shoes – cnw

It’s so easy to criticize,
Perform walks of
Perfection reigns,
Crowned standards,
Of acceptance.

Until your shoes break,
And you wear another.
Ones that needs breaking in
To stand your ground.
To fit in comfortably.

But the shoes don’t fit
Because you’ve changed.
Walk on someone else’s path
Is never easy, as we think,
No matter how clear it is.

So let’s just—
Walk in all the shoes
To feel grounded.
Take a step back
To take a step forward.
