The letters burned away;
I meant to raise a flag, but
The white ones won the day;
I meant to tell you what I meant, but
The meaning lost its sway;
And though I always meant to ask you,
I always feared you wouldn’t stay.

I am loving what you are doing with this – clearly not every poem appeals to me…but then that’s rather the point really.

I’m glad to hear you are enjoying it. I’m always welcoming suggestions of talented poets I might want to consider that I haven’t… so feel free to make suggestions if you have any. Thanks for taking the time to share your encouragement. Most is self-motivated. 🙂
