Do you know what rains do to cities?
They make them more beautiful
Primordial even
Till every nook and cranny rejoices
With each drop gently tearing down
And as it hits the ground
It releases
A beautiful scent that only it can bring about
In the mud, on the leaves
While the entire city sleeps
Do you know what rains to do people?
They make them pause
Sit back
And take notice
Of all the profound beauty around us
They make them breathe a little deeper
And a whole lot longer
They make them come alive again
If only for a moment
Now do you know
What your love
Does to my heart?
