Untitled Poem – Foxes and Poems

The actual madness of attraction

It’s in the paradoxical patterns

It’s in the prime meridian

It’s in the sanzen of the similes

It’s in the analog of the latency

It’s in the language of static

The parallel of passion is when

The amount I loved you, then

Is equivalent

To the amount I loathe you, now

(and my God, how I loved you)

There is no middle ground

No returning

No amnesty for avarice

No curtain obscuring the tragedy

Of us

It’s when

The pervasive spaces

Become condemned

It’s when

The forevers rival

The never agains

Lyrics:You don’t need a reason
For I know that what I’ve done is wrong
No one there to argue
About the way that our moment’s gone

Yeah, it’s the same
Right or wrong
Yeah, it’s the same thing
Right or wrong

These are my suspicions
And I’ll never know how this was a lost cause
And both sides are even
They are even and alone

Yeah, it’s the same
Right or wrong
Yeah, it’s the same thingRight or wrong

I am a Social Worker by day and an artist/writer by night. I use the written word in an attempt to make sense of the secret worlds and dysfunctional dynamics that lurk beneath the facades of our daily interactions. I am not sure how my writing styles are characterized, nor am I overly concerned about it. I am immensely enthusiastic about music and often connect better with songs than I do people. I also have an intense appreciation for quality wines and whiskies, frequently consuming them in excess. I like things that smell good and struggle to manage the symptoms of a life-long relationship with depression. So, why "grumpygorman"? Spend some time here and find out...
